Rev. Karen Kuhnert, Pastor
“A highlight of the year [2025], after diligent work by the Call Committee and Council, was to welcome Pastor Karen Kuhnert as our full-time pastor! With her capable leadership, we look forward to opening our doors and hearts in new ways as together we explore ministries to young families, youth and young adults, seniors, and the vulnerable in our community.” St. Paul’s Church Council, Year-end Letter 2025.

David Hall, Music Minister
David Hall graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University’s Faculty of Music in 1976; an organ student of Barrie Cabena. Further organ studies with Bernard Legacé in the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal were followed by a Master of Arts in Religion (Liturgics Concentration) from Yale Institute of Sacred Music. After working 13 years in Gander, NL, he returned to Waterloo Region as music director at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Parish in Kitchener with various adjunct appointments at Waterloo Lutheran Seminary (now Martin Luther University College) and the Laurier Faculty of Music. In retirement from his full-time career, he has brought his experience and enthusiasm to serve as interim minister of music here at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Church Council
While the Pastor and Music Minister are the key staff of the congregation, the leadership of the congregation as a whole rests with the elected Members of Church Council on behalf of all the people. The Mutual Ministry Committee ensures that St. Paul’s operates on the basis of TEAMWORK.
